Welcome to 2015 :)

Hello Everyone! I'm Back after a VERY LONG absence :) I hope everyone had a good festive season and enjoyed with all your family and friends, and I wish everyone a good start to a new year, let's all hope this year brings good things to everyone!

I have been super busy with crafting during the last three months and that kept me away from here. This year I plan to make up for my absence and one of my resolutions is to keep this blog uptodate no matter what! My first target is to keep the weekly manicure on and I have changed it's date from Tuesday to the Weekend, so anytime between friday and sunday a manicure post shall come up every week :)  More sections will follow, but everyting depends on how good I manage my time. For the time being, I want to stick to the weekly manicure :)

On with the show and for this week I have prepared a very festive manicure. It matches the winter season well and for those who are already looking for carnival inspiration and plan to do something princessy, today's look is perfect. Without further ado, let the characters below welcome you to today's Frozen Manicure :)

So for this manicure you will need the following products:

  • Bornprettystore Holographic polish in blue
  • Bornprettystore Water transfers - snowflakes
  • Golden Rose Glitter polish in turqoise
  • Any top coat of your choice - I am using one by Debby Play

The first thing that needs to be done is to clean the nails. This will ensure that the polish lasts long and applies well.  You may apply a coat of clear polish or base coat to protect your nails, but I can assure you that these particular polishes do not stain the nails.

As soon as you are sure that your base coat is completely dry, apply three coats of the holo polish to all your nails except the ring fingers. Make sure that all your nails are completely dry before applying the next coat. This will help prevent any mishaps.  Apply three coats of Golden rose glitter to the ring fingers.  Here is how it should look:

It already looks great and can be left like this if you wish :) Just clean the overspills :P  I took this photo in indoor lighting and that's the reason why the holographic is not showing off it's best.  If you look at it in the sunlight it will shine in all the colours of the rainbow. It also shows well in a spotlit place (such as a lift)

The tray at the back is a small chinese sauce holder which I got from Lidl and is filled with water in order to float the transfers.  Don't forget to remove the protective film before you float them.

Next up you will need a small shallow plate and some water in order to float your snowflakes.  After floating the transfers, pick them up gently, I use my own fingers but you can use a pair of tweezers.  Place the snow flakes on the holographic nails in any pattern that you wish, tap them lightly with a tissue to remove excess water, then either wait for them to dry or else use a hair drier to be quicker.  Once all the water has been removed and the transfers aren't moving around on your nails, apply a coat of top coat or clear polish.

This is the final look:

We have been missing sunlight this week so I couldn't shoot a good photo to show off the holos in all its power but you can see a little flicker in the photo above.

I hope you like this week's Frozen inspired manicure :) Let me know what you think in the comments :)

If you wish to get hold of the holographic polish and the transfer decals you can visit Born Pretty Store by clicking here. They have an extensive variety of products to choose from and they are very affordable :)

That's all for today and I will talk to you again next week for another Weekend Manicure :)

Weekly Manicure

Today I want to share with you a very summery manicure. It may be a bit out of season, but it can be worn in fall just the same, especially matched with some lively colours, after all it is still early fall right :)

This manicure uses nail polishes by Etude House, the Ice Cream Nails which I got from W2Beauty and some nail stickers which were sent to me with one of my purchases from Born Pretty Store. I am sorry I can't link the stickers because I could not find the exact ones in the store, but there are tonnes from which you can choose from so it shouldn't be a problem finding the right design.

Here are the nail stickers which I was very pleasantly surprised when they started glowing in the dark when I went to bed :) They are a mix of bows and lacy edgings.

And these are the cute Ice Cream Nail Polishes by Etude House in Pink, Green and Blue.

Basically this look is very easy, all I did was paint my nails in different colours, you can choose which colours to make more nails of as you wish. I decided to have two blues and two pinks on each hand with just one nail in green. The thumb nail is in blue to match the little finger.

I then alternated between bows and lacy edgings as you can see below. The thumb has two white bows just like the little finger, because it is not very visible in the pictures.

To protect the stickers from coming off, I applied a top coat on top of everything and the resulting look is below.

The picture below was taken seven days after applying the manicure and as you can see, the polish is still intact and only one of the bows has lost a tiny piece :) These polishes are really long lasting and the top coat makes miracles when you have add ons :)

I hope you found this post useful and you try to recreate this style in your own way :) Let me know what you think in the comments below and if you wish to get your hands on the products that I used, just follow the links to the stores on the side bar to the right :)

Till next Tuesday,
Saranghae,
Pauline

Weekly Manicure

Today I shall be sharing with you another shade from my BK Collection. Today it's number 26 which is a light peachy orange with a nice orangey smell just like it's sister colour number 25 which I shared with you last week.  This one also dries up quick and lasted for about 3 days without a top coat. It only took me two coats to get the perfect colour.

Here are some pictures of the finished look:

The pictures were taken on the third day and you can see some fading at the tips just like the one that I showed you last week. No need to repeat that this can be avoided by applying a top coat :)

This colour is mostly ideal for spring and autumn, because of it's light and not too vibrant colour and it matches quite a few colour schemes as well.

If you like this polish you can buy your by clicking on the picture below :)

As I advised last week, check back often to see whether the colours are all available and for their prices because they tend to change according to promotions.

I hope you found this review helpful :)

Till next Tuesday,

Weekly Manicure

Hi everyone :)  I would like to announce that the weekly manicure shall be published every tuesday so please look forward to it :)  I shall be reviewing part of the BK Nail polishes collection which I recently purchased from Born Pretty Store and will be linking the link in each post. I shall also be sharing with you some other polishes which I bought locally from the new brand She.

Today I want to share with you BK Polish in number 25 which is a beautiful peachy shade of orange.

BK polishes are really easy to use, just two coats are enough for perfect coverage for the dark colours whereas three coats are needed for the lighter ones. They also dry very quick and have a nice scent to them according to their colours when they dry up. The scent also serves as an indicator that the polish is dry :) I still recommend you wait a little while longer after you start smelling the perfume before going back to your normal routine so you don't chip your nails.

Here is how shade 25 looks:

This picture was taken two days after I applied the polish and you can see some fading at the tips.  This can easily be prevented by applying a top coat.  A top coat will cover up the scent that this polish emanates but it will make it last around 7 days and make it shinier :)

This particular colour gives off a nice orange scent when it dries up.  I find this colour perfect for Spring, Summer and Autumn because it is lively but not over the top. You can also add some nail art to give it a more sofisticated look. I shall definitely be using it again with some decorations but for the sake of trying the colour out and sharing it with you, I decided to leave it as is.  I did not apply a top coat because I wanted to test it's longevity and the result is 3 days in perfect condition, following that the polish starts fading at the tips. This may also be due to the fact that I don't use gloves while doing house chores and washing the dishes doesn't help any polish for that matter.

If you like this colour, you can buy yourself one from Born Pretty Store by clicking on the pictre below. It forms part of a set of 18 colours but there is the option to purchase only the colours that you like.

Keep checking out the products as some may be out of stock and may be back in stock without notice. Prices also vary according to any offers that are currently on at the store.  I remember getting my whole set for just $35 which makes each one costing $1.95. Individuals may be more expensive to purchase!

I hope you found this post helpful :)

Till next Tuesday,

Head Bands Haul :)

Hi Ladies,  here is another haul I did from Born Pretty Store. I purchased this lot a while ago before getting married and received it right after the wedding :) Like a present from me to me :)  Here are some photos of what I bought, some of which I already tried and got nice comments about. I will be posting a review on each one of them in the coming days but for the sake of this particular post, I will share with you pictures of the items and how to buy them :)  We all know it could take me a while to get to writing again and snapping pictures! Currently my camera is in desperate need of a set of new batteries but I don't have the time to go to the store!  Anyway, on with the show, the bracelet at the end of the pictorial was sent to me as a gift but the BPS staff, actually they sent two but I only photographed one :)

Everything came individually wrapped but it was a real pain to unwrap the pearl one below!

This one is really princessy and is supposed to be used in weddings. Well it can be used like that but I will definitely wear it with some blingy outfit for a night out! It looks gorgeous!

This trio is my everyday favorites. I already wore the pink and the green one and people said that they look really cute and give me a certain look, I took the certain look part in a good way hehe

Those are some close ups of the cute boy with gold details

This is classy one with the pearls and such. I already wore it to my favorite restaurant with a rather casual look and it looked perfect. I can dress this up or down according to the outfit.

And last but not least, some pictures of the two Hello Kitty Bracelets I received as a gift with my order. Aren't they cute! I love the way their clasp is and the fact that they are not too wide so they will fit well around my wrist :)

You can purchase all the items above at Born Pretty Store and don't forget to use the Coupon on the right of the pace (PCLG10) to get everything 10% cheaper than the selling price, even if the items are marked on sale, you still get everything 10% lower. Oh and hurry because these head bands are really selling out fast, there were quite a few more I wanted to buy, if you remember I had posted links in a previous post were I talked about cute head bands that caught my eye. Well quite a few of them are sold out, in fact if you visit that post now, you won't find the pictures of the ones that are gone for good.

I wish to thank Born Pretty Store for the amazing shopping experience they provide everytime I visit their store, and congratulate them on the new look as well. The website had a makeover recently and now is more easy to navigate :)

Well I guess that's it for now,
Thanks for reading,

Born Pretty Store Fashion

Hello Everyone! Today I want to share with you a fashion piece that I bought off  Born Pretty Store.  I was looking for a sexy bathrobe and came across this gorgeous geisha and fell in love with it.  I immediately placed an order and after 8 days of waiting (shipping time was only 6 days!) I received it!! I was so excited this morning when Mum phoned to tell me that I had received a parcel! I am still receiving all my post at my mum's partly because I haven't changed my address and partly because she is always home whereas I am going back to work tomorrow and won't be able to collect any incoming parcels!

Back to the geisha :) Well it came packed nicely but it needs to be hung for a while for the creases to go away and with it I found a matching thong which I was not expecting and also a set of Nail Foils that arrived courtesy of the Born Pretty Store Staff.  Here are some pictures of the items I am talking about:

The sash ties around the waist with velclor so you don't need to undo the bow and the thong is hanging there as well. Better pics of myself wearing this sweety will follow in summer so stay tuned!

These came in as a gift from the Born Pretty Store Staff.  I have never usd Nail foils so far so I am excited to try them out. Check out the cute design at the tips :)

I like the colourful swirls!

I forgot to turn around this picture, but is basically meant to show the instructions in english at the back!

(Back to the geisha)
The fabric is of a very good quality silk and it fits perfectly. The smooth and light fabric make it ideal for the hot summer days here in Malta and anywhere else for that matter.  If you haven't gotten yourself a bathrobe for summer and love the oriental designs and fashions, this one might be just for you! I will be posting pictures of myself wearing this beauty as soon as summer comes, and that isn't too far away either.

If you wish to purchase this beauty don't forget to use the code that I have displayed on the side of the blog so that you get it 10% cheaper. (PCLG10) It is already cheap costing only $10.69c but a coupon is always welcome right!

Anyways, I have to be off cooking dinner because the hungry husband will soon be here!

See you guys soon,
Saranghae!
